Here is what staff are proposing – 4% increase in water; 4% increase in waste water treatment; 4-6% in electric add to this 35% tax on that increase. The budget process in Ashland has begun. If you care about your rising utility bill you MUST attend the budget meetings and simply say “Don’t raise our rates.” or whatever you desire to say. NOW is the time to speak not after the budget depends on this income. Show up at these meetings. Folks will be there to help you get situated. All meetings are at the council chamber on East Main next to the Police Department:
