Get ready for an even bigger year in 2018.

Dear Readers and Doers and Thinkers,

With 2017 ending tonight (time sure has flown by), we wanted to remind you just how much Indivisibles have accomplished in the first year of this movement.

You’ve done the unthinkable. You’ve forced more than a dozen high-profile, safe Republicans to retire because of your constant constituent pressure. You defeated the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Twice. You’ve supported progressives up and down the ballot in Virginia, Michigan, Washington, and Alabama. And you’ve won.

In 2018, we won’t just fight to resist the Trump agenda, we’re going on the offensive. During the midterm elections, we’ll work across the country to elect progressive representatives up and down the ballot, in every single Congressional district.

That work has already started. Indivisibles are making political endorsements, reading our first electoral guides on voter registration and stopping voter suppression, and gearing up to run campaigns in hundreds of communities across the country. Chip in today to help us head into 2018 ready to fight everywhere to elect progressives and resist the Trump agenda!

Here are just some of our biggest accomplishments this last year (take a bow!):

  • We fought for progressive policies: You’ve held hundreds of thousands of actions demanding your members of Congress defend progressive values. Some of you even camped outside your MoCs’ district offices for months on end. Not only did this help defeat TrumpCare twice, but it ground congressional Republicans’ agenda to a halt and forced more than a dozen high-profile Republicans to retire.

  • We showed up: Throughout the year, you took the fight to your representatives and senators at town halls. In doing so, you’ve reclaimed the narrative on your home turf (and beyond!). Best of all? You showed up everywhere. From Arkansas to California and from Utah to Maine, Indivisibles flooded town halls and demanded accountability from their representatives.
  • We trained the leaders of this movement: We hosted two Indivisible Institutes focused on growing the skills of and empowering Indivisible group leaders. They’re already putting tactics from these trainings into action on the ground. In 2018, we’ll be holding 8 more Regional Institutes across the country to train hundreds more Indivisible leaders as we build capacity and power all across the country.
  • We fought for progressive candidates in red states, blue states, and purple states alike… and won: Progressive candidates won everywhere in 2017. From sweeping the Virginia and New Jersey elections, winning the Alabama Senate election, and picking up victory after victory in smaller races around the country, Indivisible groups powered progressive candidates to victory (several Indivisibles even ran for office themselves!).

In 2018 we’re aiming even higher. The midterm elections give us the best chance of stopping the Trump agenda dead in its tracks. If we take back the House, Democrats can hold serious investigations into the Trump Administration’s corruption. If we take back the Senate, we can stop Trump’s unqualified, extremist judicial nominations from receiving lifetime appointments. And winning back governorships and state houses will not only give us the chance to pass progressive policies, but also prevent extreme gerrymandering in 2020.

Sharon, there’s a lot on the line next year, and all signs point to a big blue wave on election night 2018. But we need to work hard… and we your support to make it happen. If you can, make a contribution so we can hit the ground running in 2018.
