|Just for my WalkAshland email subscribers: New article: Tree of the Year 1989 — Tree of Heaven or tree-from-hell??? |
Arrow points to the recently planted Tree of Heaven in the Ashland Plaza. In this 1881 photo, it is in front of the Ashland Flour Mill (now the entrance to Lithia Park).
In this 2001 photo, you can see the Tree of Heaven is still living in the Plaza, near City Hall.
Why is this a “tree-from-hell” photo? CLICK HERE to read why it has been called both “Tree of Heaven” and also “tree-from-hell.” Or click on the photo above.
I am writing about every Ashland Tree of the Year — from 1988 to today! Stay tuned for more.
