After suspending TAP water delivery into the system on September 20, the Ashland Water Department resumed utilizing that source at the maximum amount of 2.1Mgal/day on October 4. This appears to be a response to the rapidly dwindling storage in Reeder Reservoir, which is now under 42%. The slope of the consumption curve is now significantly steeper than the idealized drawdown curve.
This is most likely a result of the lack of rainfall since September 21, and the continued heavy use of potable water for landscaping purposes in the city. Consumption remains around 4.5Mgal/day. Inflow to the reservoir remains below 2.5Mgal/day, and experienced a 9% reduction over the past two days.
