“The Voice” Season 16 Winner Maelyn Jarmon Set to Perform at Oregon Shakespeare Festival Gala

OSF’s First-ever Hybrid Gala to Offer Attendees the Theatre’s Dynamic Range of Artistry

ASHLAND, Ore.– September 8, 2022 – Maelyn Jarmon, “The Voice” season 16 winner, will be a special guest performing artist at the upcoming Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) gala weekend celebration, September 30 – October 2, 2022.  Jarmon is scheduled to perform with composer, director, actor Troy Anthony at the in-person gala event on Saturday, Oct. 1. 

In 2019, Maelyn Jarmon entered the sixteenth season of NBC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” and chose to be part of team John Legend. She enchanted millions as audiences witnessed her performances shut down the stage nightly.  She made it to the finale and was announced as the winner on May 21, 2019. 

Since her win, Maelyn has gone on to smash records, soaring to #1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart and becoming the 15th artist of all time to land three simultaneous Top 10 Songs on iTunes. Among those, her version of “Hallelujah” topped the Overall Top Songs Chart. Fusing styles from pop to electronic with an intimate distinct delivery, Maeyln is currently writing, performing, and recording new music.

 OSF Onwards: A Gala Weekend Celebration is a first-of-its kind hybrid extravaganza, featuring exclusive previews and acclaimed plays, discussions and adventures that invite in-person and virtual audiences around the globe to curate their own journeys. The three-day event from September 30 – October 2 will raise critical funds to support OSF’s dynamic range of artistry, which will be showcased throughout the celebration and serve as a preview of the theatre’s upcoming 2023 season and beyond.  A live in-person event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 1.
