FOOD ANGELS IN GREAT NEED OF DONATED VEHICLE

FOOD ANGELS IN GREAT NEED OF DONATED VEHICLE
As many of you know, the Ashland Food Angels have been working in this community for over twenty-two years, gathering food from local supermarkets, bakeries and farmers to supply food to the Ashland Food Bank,  Head Start, the community free meals, the winter shelters, school groups. Jackson County Fuel Committee, Maslow, Gospel Mission and others.
Quite recently, the van used to pick up and deliver the food broke down and was declared repairable.  A temporary van is being used to allow us to continue our work, but there is a great need for another van for the Food Angels to use on a daily basis.
We are looking for a donated mini-van, small truck, station wagon, or large car, which is in good running order and could be used to pick up a number of boxes of food each morning.
Because the Ashland Food Angels is a registered non-profit, any donation made, whether as a vehicle or a monetary sum toward our transportation costs, could be used as a tax write-off.
If you have a donation or a vehicle, please contact Pamala Joy at 541-482-5330 or send an email to: ashlandfoodangels@gmail.com.   Any donation would be gratefully received.
In addition to food, the Angels also gather clothing and household goods, which are distributed out through other organizations, such as Gospel Mission, Maslow, the Teresa McCormick Center, the Family Nurturing Center, and other organizations that support those in need.
The Food Angels are also looking for new volunteers, especially people interested in helping with the management of the organization.  If you have a few hours per week which you can spare in helping your community, please use the contact information above.
