I love driftwood, weather worn and gray, gnarly with character. Gets you wondering….. How far did it drift in the seas ? Where is it from? How long has it been here? This is a small part of a very large burl root washed ashore on Vancouver Island. Its many crevices contained stones which made interesting photo subjects. Beatrice Jacobs, Photographer
I am beyond fortunate to to live in magical places in three different countries, that we call home. Beach life in Mexico, small town mountain life in southern Oregon , and the wild side of Vancouver Island on the water. Each provides a vast array of outdoor activities and bountiful nature experiences. Needless to say this results in diverse photography opportunities and sharing these images is a great joy .
