Call for Volunteers for the 31st Annual Rogue River Clean-Up, May 20

31st Annual Rogue River Clean-Up & Let’s Pull Together!

 Sponsored by the Josephine County Solid Waste Agency, Stream Smart: A Rogue Basin Clean Water Project, Rogue Basin Partnership, the Rogue River Watershed Council, and several other local, state, and federal agencies, businesses, and groups.

Where: Hog Creek County Park and Indian Mary County Park

When: Saturday, May 20th, 2023, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, with an after-party at Indian Mary County Park until 3:00 PM.

What: Participate in a park and riverside, roadside, or in-stream clean-up, or pull invasive weeds during this longstanding event along the Rogue River from Hog Creek County Park to Almeda County Park! *Locations upstream of Hog Creek, such as Whitehorse County Park, Matson County Park, and others may also be cleaned up as part of this event, but volunteers will need to bring trash back to Hog Creek where the central dumpster will be available; BLM will not be hauling trash away from these upstream locations.

Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, high visibility vest, and other swag items, a raffle ticket, snacks and water, and lunch from Tacomania to be served at Indian Mary County Park starting at 12:00 PM through 2:30 PM. Michael Quinn and Cherry Wine will be performing until 3:00 PM.
