Lamb Fire Update July 13, 2023
Ashland, Ore-July 13, 2023–The Lamb Fire, located in the Ashland Watershed above Reeder Reservoir, is holding at 2.5 acres. Handline is completed and a hose lay surrounds the fire. Resources assigned to the fire include 4 engines, 1 20-person hand crew (Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde) 1 water tender and miscellaneous overhead.
Air resources were on the fire prior to 8:00 a.m. this morning. A Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest fixed wing airplane and medium helicopter and an Oregon Department of Forestry medium helicopter responded. An ODF fixed wing relieved the RRSNF fixed wing for an hour to ensure helicopter operations continued on the fire while the RRSNF fix wing refueled.
Investigators and law enforcement are currently investigating the cause of the Lamb Fire. Resources will continue to work the fire through the next week to ensure it’s out.

·       2 falling modules
·       1 dozer
·       1 excavator
·       1 helitack crew/medium helicopter
·       1 rappel crew/medium helicopter

·       1 reconnaissance plane
·       1 Air Attack (fixed wing aircraft)
