Ashland Fire & Rescue to Offer Emergency Response Training

AFR photo

Ashland’s CERT program has trained over 950 volunteers to be better prepared to survive a disaster making Ashland’s program one of the most successful in the nation. CERT has been mobilized thirty-four times for activities ranging from managing emergency shelters to evacuating residents during wild fires. CERT’s competency is “preparing our community to endure disasters.”

Want to help our community prepare for and respond to emergencies? Join the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT! We will offer a CERT basic training this fall for those interested in being part of this dynamic and fun program. With over 150 active members and 700 trainees since 2000, Ashland CERT has been active for many years. You’ll get training from firefighters in emergency medical, fire suppression, and much more both in the classroom and hands on.
