Community Art Show: “Art of the Fire,” April 30 at 111 Talent Ave. in Talent Oregon
from 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday only.
It will take place at the historic Malmgren Garage which burned into a shell of a building
in the Almeda Fire. People from all over the county have photographed or painted the building as it stands today.
The flames have left the inside and outside of the building with beautiful patterns of colors and designs. This flame-art will disappear with the buildings restoration early this summer.
The art show will have over 40 artists participating in this event…show casing their impressions of the Almeda fire, many of them have lost their homes, studios and a lifetime of art work in the fire.
A documentary, “The Re-emergence of a Historic Landmark” by Cici Brown, will begin at the start of the reconstruction of the building. A “Re-build fund” will start with the community art show.
