News from the Parks Director via Hikers/Walkers Representative:

“…since there is no public area on the ditch road for parking it is important to inform people before they drive up the road of this situation. We really don’t want people blocking the road and since we can’t authorize anyone to park on property that we don’t own (chilton’s), allowing vehicle access past Grandview implies that we are giving consent for one of those two scenarios to occur. I am sure you can see why a sign is necessary.

We continue to work on finding a solution with the parking at Grandview, but in the meantime we must respect the private property rights of our citizens, even Ms. Chilton.
