Get Out The Vote efforts are really ramping up! I’ve already started to get messages from my friends and colleagues that they received their mail-in ballots and turned them in! Voting is happening now!
With the VoteWithMe app, you can become the little voice in your friends and family’s ears urging them to cast their ballot! It's a quick, social, and fun way to get your family and friends who might not vote in every election to turnout for Democrats in this crucial election. It’s harder for them to say no when it’s a friend that’s asking!
Sharon — We only have 27 days until the November 6 Election. In some places, mail ballots are already in the hands of voters. There are tight races across the nation at every level of government that need your help! Technology has introduced new ways to connect with voters that are impactful and meaningful.
VoteWithMe is an app I started using a couple of days ago to connect with voters using my very own contacts. The app will cross reference your contacts in your mobile device with the national voter file and let you know which of your contacts live in battle ground districts, their party registration, and their voting record!
The app is free and super easy to use. You can also see how your friends vote and who you can help get to the polls. It’s more effective than just posting to social media and hoping your friends will read it and take action. Instead, it’s personal and sets you up to start having a meaningful conversation about voting.
VoteWithMe has prefilled responses for family & friends, frequent voters, professional contacts, and folks you haven’t chatted with in a while. Once you choose the message that best fits your relationship with your contact, you can use whichever messaging app on your phone to relay the message and customize it to add tidbits of info that are relevant.
With work, family, and personal activities, I can definitely understand how hard it is to put things on the back burner to focus on the Election. Knowing how important these races are, being able to make an impact and fit it into your busy life is so helpful.
Speaking for myself as a parent of a 20-month-old child, full time working professional, and involved member in my local community, it’s helpful to be able to strategically reach out to friends, family members, and colleagues about their particular districts and connect them with pertinent information about the races in their areas. VoteWithMe provides all of the information voters and organizers need to get out the vote in tough races.
