Sharon, across the country, mass protests are planned for today demanding Congress close the concentration camps that are detaining and abusing migrant children. People in every state are rising up to take action against the injustices at the border.
Protests are one critical way to demand government action to stop ICE and Border Patrol’s atrocities. The way that we continue to do so is to cut ICE off at every single point where it hurts. And one key way is through Amazon.
With major immigrant-centered groups Mijente and MPower Change, we will be demystifying the relationships between Amazon and ICE, and share information about our upcoming July 15 Prime Day petition deliveries. This Twitter town hall will be an informative space to hear our strategy to stop Amazon, and connect with other activists across the country committed to ending all of the anti-immigrant horrors.
But there won’t be a town hall without attendees like you. That’s why we need you to join us. RSVP to help meet our goal of 100 attendees, commit to being active on Twitter during the town hall to spread the word on what people can do to stop ICE once and for all.
The Daily Kos Liberation League, the team I’m on, is committed to using social media more to engage with grassroots organizations and everyday activists. This is why as we move forward in our campaigns work, we need you to be active Twitter! If you don’t have an account, click here to make one. See you on July 9th!
